Growing up with creative parents, I was encouraged to express myself through art. I got my first camera when I was 16 and quickly fell in love with photography. I studied fine art and photography in college and have been fascinated with photographing people since my first formal photography course. For about 15 years I continued to photograph friends and family and do small photography jobs.
When I became a mother, my focus naturally shifted to children and families. In 2004, I decided to turn my hobby into a business and launched Baby Steps Photography.
As a mother I understand how quickly children grow into little people. When I photograph children, I see them through a parent’s adoring eyes - as extraordinary and beautiful individuals.
I love capturing the many facets of a child’s personality. Children are so open, uninhibited and eager to show off their endless facial expressions.
It’s a gift when a family allows me to spend part of their day with them. It’s especially rewarding when I get to take annual photographs and see the children and families grow.

I am a San Francisco based photographer and I travel through out the Bay Area for on location photo shoots. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, children and family portraits.

I photograph children and families organically; customizing every session for each unique family.
I strive to capture every family in a very personal and emotional way. You will get more than photographs, but also memories to cherish, pieces of art to hang in your home and share with your family or show off to your friends.
My style is about preserving the fleeting moments of life, through detailed photographs and portraits. Unless the moment is somehow captured, it is gone forever and is quickly replaced by another phase
of life.
I rarely pose children or ask them
to sit still. I prefer to follow them at play, as an observer, and capture their true personality.
At the end of a session I often hear my clients say, “Oh, that was easy!” I have a relaxed approach and that helps to create a low-stress and fun photo shoot.
